❓Ask:
Pastor Billy mentioned that everyone worships something, as reflected in these three areas: where we spend our money, where we spend our time, and where our mind finds peace. If someone examined these three areas of your life this past month, what would they conclude about what you worship?
Jesus says to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. How would you explain these four different aspects of loving God to someone who is new to faith?
If the heart refers to our desires and drives, the soul is our truest self, the mind involves our intellect and planning, and strength relates to our physical body and passion, which of these four aspects of loving God do you find most challenging in your own life, and why?
The three roles of priests are: carrying God's presence, ministering to God, and blessing others. How does the concept of being a "royal priest" change how we should view our daily interactions with others in places like work, school, or home?
The sermon discussed the difference between emotion and devotion in worship. Why is this distinction important, and how should it impact our approach to worship?
What would it look like for you to intentionally "carry God's presence" into your most challenging environment this week?
